Good 37º drizzling morning.
Yesterday stayed cool. The sun sorta came out.

The sunset was nice...

The turkeys were hanging around for quiet a while. Maybe they were waiting for the geese to come back!

These two sitting atop the frame of the gate ...

On Friday after the funeral at Eagle Point Cemetery the VFW was having a potluck dinner. Mike and Jennifer and I decided we'd go to Kaleidoscope Pizza in Medford instead. http://www.kaleidoscopepizza.com/

Mike got this ginormous beer:

Jen and I had wine....
We ordered this pizza... basically a "Popeye" with spinach, roasted red peppers, red onions, mushrooms, feta, Parmesan, oregano. mozzarella, provolone, garlic, and olive oil. We had sausage, artichoke hearts, bacon, and a white sauce with pesto added (called 'Alaska Sauce'). OHMYGOOOOOOD!!!!!
Good thing Kaleidoscope isn't closer or I'd be there every other day!!!

Yesterday was quiet. I reflected on the loss of my friend and of course thought about Jerry. Dinner was just some simple canned soup.

All I know. Nuff said. Sunday. Ciao.
Christmas Day is two weeks from today.

December 11th
National Noodle Ring Day is a December day that kids young and old have been impatiently awaiting......yeah, right!
What would cooking be like without the noodle ring? We shudder to think about it. We are certainly relieved that the Noodle Ring exists, so we can cook them in one recipe after another. And, doesn't it make sense that we honor the Noodle Ring with its own very special day!?
BTW: Is the proper term "Noodle Ring" or "Ring Noodle"? We will let you make the call on this important question.
Get your fill of noodle rings today. After all, that's what this day is for.
Origin of National Noodle Ring Day:
We noodled around for a long time, trying to find information on National Noodle Ring Day. We found absolutely no information on this very special day. (Wow, what a surprise!)
There was some reference to this as a "National Day". Most food related holidays are called "National". However, we found no congressional records or presidential proclamation.
Here is a recipe for a Noodle Ring that sounds great!
