We studied Missions- but I do not remember a very important detail- they were not just religious institutions. They were strategically placed to stop the southward colonization of California by the Russians. Learned that in the Santa Barbara Mission garden last year. I love simple and easy. :)<br /><br />Oh yes! We made the San Gabriel Mission out of styrofoam. Dad put little trees around it too.
