Clouds and Turkeys ~ Donut ~ Egg Sandwich ~ Quick/Easy Lunches ~ Spencer & Erika ~ Bounce Uses

Good 50º clear sunny morning.

Yesterday was another one of those semi-gloomy cloudy days. We did warm to 77º and it was humid.

And the turkeys were just laying around....

The other day I was really bad. When at the market I bought one of their fresh made caramel covered donuts and had it with my coffee for "breakfast".
OINK OINK OINK. I treated myself. When no one is around to do that for you, sometimes you have to take matters into your own hands!
Ok, so I won't be doing that again for a long time! But, dang it was yummy!

Now yesterday for breakfast I mashed up 4 hard boiled eggs, added in some mayonnaise and a little basil. Heated a Greek pita bread in the micro for 20 seconds to soften. Added baby spinach on top and then the egg mixture.
OMGOOOD! VERY filling. Had half for lunch!

Now these lunches sound really good and easy and inexpensive! But, instead of arugula, I would use fresh baby spinach or even just a lettuce combo!

Today is a special day for my pal Erika and her hubby Spencer. It's their 56th Wedding Anniversary. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY KIDS!!! oxox

Ok, some more uses for Bounce dryer sheets:
1. Prevent musty suitcases. Place 1 sheet inside empty luggage before storing. The same with sleeping bags and tents before storing.
2. Freshen air in your car, put 1 sheet under the front seat.
3. Collect cat hair by rubbing the area with a sheet and it will magnetically attract all the loose hairs.
4. Deodorize shoes, put a sheet in the sneakers over night.

Later dinner was reruns... the last of the lobster and asparagus, and a corn on the cob.

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Saturday. Ciao.

Eat Your Vegetables Day

Strategically created in the middle of National Fresh Fruit and Vegetables Month, this day is the perfect opportunity to re-introduce a healthy portion of vegetables into your diet. No doubt about it, Eat Your Vegetables Day was created to promote a more healthy diet.......for life!
On this day, you are encouraged to eat vegetables for every meal, and for a snack. Better still, try to be a vegetarian....for the day. Short of that, any additional vegetables at meal time today will honor the event, as well as make you a little healthier.
We encourage parents to let the kids help with dinner, preparing the salad and vegetables. Along the way, you tell your kids a little about the importance of vegetables for a long and healthy life.
