Rain ~ Fav Joke ~ Nightstalker ~ Deviled Chicken Egg ~ Winebulance ~ Goose and Duck

Good 43º raining morning. Was going for a fasting blood test (on going for meds I take) but refuse to take my clean truck out in this! Will go tomorrow, maybe.

Here is my favorite joke of late... I just love this!!!

This from the Glendale News Press yesterday.... YEAH!!!!!

** Correction.... "Ramirez died of complications secondary to B-cell lymphoma at Marin General Hospital in Greenbrae, Ca at 9:10pm on June 7th, 2013. He had been suffering from the effects of chronic substance abuse and chronic hepatitis C viral infection. At 53 years old he had been on death row for more than 23 years awaiting execution by the state of California. "

The death of "Night Stalker" serial killer Richard Ramirez Friday morning closes another chapter in a gruesome story that included the murders of 13 people in the mid-1980s, two of them in Glendale.
Ramirez died of natural causes at 9:10 a.m. Friday at a Bay Area hospital, corrections officials confirmed to the L.A. Times. He was convicted by a Los Angeles jury for the 13 killings that terrorized Southern California in the mid-1980s.
Sentenced to death, Ramirez had been serving time on death row in San Quentin since 1989.

This recipe is a little late for Easter, but still so cute and sounds like a good deviled egg without making it into a chicken!

6 hard-boiled eggs
1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup ranch salad dressing
1 t. Dijon mustard
dash pepper
5 carrot chips
12 capers
fresh dill sprigs
Cut a think slice from the bottom of each egg so it sits flat. Cut a top third from each egg. Carefully remove yolks, place in small bowl, and mash. Add cheese, salad dressing, mustard, and pepper. Stir until smooth. Spoon into egg white bottoms, replace tops.

Cut 12 feet and 12 small triangles for beaks from carrot chips.

Gently press the capers into the filling for eyes, add beaks. Insert dill sprig in top of eggs for tuft of feathers. Place feet in front of chicks. Chill until serving.
Nutrition facts: 1 stuffed egg = 145 calories.

Historically this date...
1945 – World War II: Führerbunker: After learning that Soviet forces have taken Eberswaldewithout a fight, Adolf Hitler admits defeat in his underground bunker and states that suicideis his only recourse.

.......too bad he wasn't caught and put in an oven to die! JUSTICE.

2000 – In a pre-dawn raid, federal agents seize six-year-old Elián González from his relatives' home in Miami, Florida.
Commentators have suggested that the Elián González affair may have been a factor in voters' decisions in the 2000 United States presidential election, which could have affected the close outcome in Florida. Al Gore's handling of the matter may have been as great a factor as anger by the predominantly Republican Cuban community over the boy's return to Cuba. Gore initially supported Republican legislation to give the boy and his father permanent residence status, but later supported the Administration position. He was attacked by both for pandering and being inconsistent.

2008 – The United States Air Force retires the remaining F-117 Nighthawk aircraft in service.
